Meet The Team

We’re a team of 19, and we all have dramatically different backgrounds. We are studio artists, art historians, designers, filmmakers, writers, photographers, crafters, art handlers, and installers.


Jane Carney

  • Jane has anchored her career in her passion for meaningful interiors. She approaches curating with a holistic method informed by awareness of contemporary context as well as the values of her clients. Jane has executed a wide variety of projects, ranging from sensitive healthcare curation to large-scale corporate renovations, to private clientele seeking to cultivate eclectic and personal collections.

    Prior to joining Boston Art, Jane graduated from Sotheby’s Institute of Art with a master’s degree in Art Business with a specialization in Contemporary Art. She then worked for Christie’s Auction House in the Impressionist and Modern Department, and later the Design Department.

    While earning her undergraduate degree at Simmons University, Jane worked with a variety of Boston art institutions, including the Museum of Fine Arts, the Boston Ballet, and Fidelity’s Corporate Art Group.

Julia Reed-Betts

  • With a passion for art procurement, Julia advises clients on a range of projects in private, corporate, healthcare, and public settings. As the former Gallery Director at Boston Art, she leads with a curatorial vision and strong sensitivity to client needs. Julia enjoys engaging artists with unique narratives and perspectives to elevate, connect, and activate spaces. Julia uses thoughtful placemaking to create art treatments that contribute to our personal and civic development.  

    Julia joined Boston Art after graduating from Harvard University with a degree in History of Art and Architecture. She developed a strong admiration for art advising and collecting while working internationally at Bernard Berenson’s estate in Florence, Italy. In her previous role at Boston Art, Julia oversaw the gallery team which conducts artist research and sourcing, exhibition planning, and marketing initiatives.

Cameron Sumner

  • A diverse background in both professional services and the art world has provided Cameron with the skills needed to lead her clients to curate successful and beautiful art collections. She is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where she earned her degree in Economics and Art History. Prior to joining Boston Art, Cameron’s journey has been filled with remarkable experiences, including working for Ernst & Young in the Bay Area, California, where she advised some of the world’s largest multinational companies on international tax and financial matters. Additionally, she has contributed her skills to the museum education space at both the University of Notre Dame and the prestigious National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin.

    Her true passion lies in helping people forge meaningful connections with art. Cameron firmly believes that with the right guidance, anyone can develop a deep appreciation for the arts. Her previous role as a Project Manager at Boston Art allowed her to oversee various projects, ranging from residential to corporate, biotechnology, and public initiatives. 

Matilda Biscaldi

  • Matilda is from Genoa Italy, and her international background has shaped her passion for working with clients with rich cultures and histories. She has a curatorial drive and a strong interest in bringing our clients’ visions to life via an intentionally selected artwork collection.

    A graduate from Tufts University, Matilda earned her Bachelor of Liberal Arts, International, Literary & Visual Studies, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus on photography and painting. Prior to joining Boston Art, Matilda developed an aptitude for art advising while working in art galleries both locally and internationally, where she guided her patrons in skillfully building their own art collections.

Ellen Buchanan

  • Originally from Atlanta Ga, Ellen found their home in the Boston Art world through their work in arts administration and at various nonprofits and commercial galleries in the area. Ellen is passionate about working with artists and making connections in the greater community. By working as a bridge between the consulting team and our artists, Ellen has a keen eye for the work that comes into the gallery. They approach gallery curation with focus on current trends and a cultivated knowledge of artists in Boston and beyond. Their background in gallery management, event organizing, graphic design, and marketing allow them to continue to grow Boston Art’s vision as an industry leader.

    Outside of Boston Art, Ellen serves on the Board of Directors at Gallery 263, and is a founding member and captain of Menace Cycling. They live in Somerville and enjoy bike commuting year round.

Christina Pierotti

  • As Senior Project Manager at Boston Art, Christina Pierotti brings extensive experience guiding complex public and private art projects from concept to installation. She leads and mentors a team of project managers, collaborates closely with artists and vendors, and serves as a key liaison between the frame shop and installation team. With 20–30 projects in motion at any given time, Christina ensures each one is delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest client standards.

    Christina holds an MBA with a concentration in Marketing from Bentley University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Merrimack College. Known for her strategic thinking, leadership, and ability to balance creativity with precision, she excels in fast-paced environments that demand organization, collaboration, and clear communication.

Natalie Novak

  • Natalie Novak is a project manager at Meridian, where she oversees the coordination of artwork programs. A graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations and a minor in Studio Art, she combines creative insight with strategic thinking to deliver art experiences that connect meaning and place.

    Her approach bridges visual storytelling with logistical precision, ensuring the final project reflects the client’s vision. In addition to her project work, Natalie supports Meridian’s marketing efforts and is skilled in graphic design. Outside of the office, she enjoys painting and practicing yoga.

Alex Spear

  • Alex holds a BA in Art History and Hispanic Studies from Bowdoin College and brings experience from a variety of cultural institutions including community art centers, art museums, historical museums, and libraries. Her career in the arts is inspired by the natural beauty of her native NH.

    As both a project manager and photographer, Alex's approach is a balance of imagination, precision, and curiosity; which she believes to be the cornerstones of any successful art experience. In her role as Project Manager, Alex has overseen a variety of projects across the country, ranging from diverse corporate programs to intricate custom framing. Outside of work, Alex enjoys knitting sweaters, crafting and collecting photo books, hiking local trails, and learning Japanese.

Claudia Rivera

  • Originally from Miami, FL, Claudia's lifelong passion for art was shaped by an early love for drawing, music, and storytelling. She holds dual degrees in Anthropology and Global Affairs from the University of Notre Dame, where she first stepped into the art world through her work at the Snite Museum of Art. Her experience has since spanned institutions like the National Gallery of Ireland and the National Museum of Mexican Art, deepening her appreciation for diverse narratives in contemporary art.

    As a Project Manager at Boston Art, Claudia oversees custom art programs for a wide range of clients, guiding projects from concept to installation. She collaborates closely with artists, framers, and installers to bring creative solutions to complex design challenges—often finding unique ways to align artwork to a client’s personal or brand story. Known for her energy, warmth, and problem-solving mindset, Claudia thrives on building relationships and ensuring each project is both visually compelling and strategically curated.

    Outside of work, Claudia is an avid crafter, reader, and trivia buff who’s always ready to try new things. She brings that same joy and curiosity to her work, making each project an opportunity to connect, explore, and celebrate community through art.

Andy Pham

  • Born and raised in Quincy, MA, Andy is a Certified Public Accountant with nearly a decade of experience in internal audit, public accounting, and federal oversight. He spent several years at PwC, advising startups and privately held companies on financial reporting, compliance, and capital management. Following that, he conducted international audits of complex multinational corporations at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

    Beginning at PwC, Andy established a strong record of partnering with executives to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within client organizations and communities. Now, at Boston Art, Andy provides financial clarity and structure to amplify the efforts of a visionary team—and to help build what comes next.

Joseph O’Brien

  • Growing up on a farm in Unadilla, NY imbued Matt with a strong work ethic and “get er done” mentality.  He was forced to hone his creative skills as a means of surviving long boring hours on the family tractor.  These attributes went with him to Cornell University where he studied film and into his careers as a film editor and later illustrator.  Now at Boston Art he uses his diligence and aesthetics to help transfer spaces with art.  

    Outside of work Matt is always creating, whether it be for his brother's graphic T-shirt company, a sequel to his graphic novel, landscaping or just for fun.  Although most of his projects now involve his two sons.

Elizabeth Graham

  • Working in London and Hong Kong has provided Elizabeth an opportunity to work successfully with different cultures and people of various interests and backgrounds. Carrying over her success from abroad, Elizabeth has been able to work seamlessly on both domestic and international projects at Boston Art.

    Serving in a number of roles with most of her experience in art gallery management and directorship, Elizabeth has developed galleries’ strategies, exhibitions, links to other museums/corporations for joint functions and international art fairs. Elizabeth was the youngest member to be voted onto the Board of the Hong Kong Art Gallery Association and her Corporate Secretarial work later led her to a successful position as Marketing and Sponsorship Chair. Additionally, she founded Hong Kong’s, Young Art Professionals to foster a group of like-minded individuals for networking, educational, and fundraising activities.

    Elizabeth graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in Art History focusing on 19th and 20th century American art.

Kelly Fillocco

  • As the Director of Art Consulting, Kelly Filocco has been guiding clientele to produce stellar art programs for corporations, healthcare institutions, and multi-family buildings in the Boston area for over twenty years. A graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in business and decades of hands-on experience in the field, Kelly oversees the art consulting practice at Boston Art with a deep appreciation for the benefits that a thoughtful art program can have on the productivity and well-being of any environment. In Kelly’s previous role as Senior Art Consultant, she managed every type of project, from large-scale, highly detailed public installations to collection management advice for clients with extensive existing collections.

    Kelly has chosen the artwork and managed the collections of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Scientific, MGH, Brigham and Women's Hospital, 345 Harrison, Mintz Levin, and The St. Regis Residences. She lives outside of Boston with her husband and daughter.

John Kirby

  • John Kirby founded Boston Art, Inc. in 2001 to provide art acquisition and management services to clients in the corporate, healthcare and hospitality industries. After graduating from Boston College, John started his first art consulting firm out of his one bedroom apartment. Since then, John has accumulated over 35 years of experience assisting companies of all sizes with the successful development of their art collections.

    Boston Art has continuously expanded its scope to provide art programs for a range of clients throughout New England, nationally, and internationally.  John is both an art and people curator having trained and cultivated an experienced staff of art consultants, project managers, master framers, and installation specialists who are dedicated to helping clients create extraordinary spaces through the addition of well-chosen artwork.  John lives on the North Shore of the Boston area with his wife and three children.
